No accounts: we don’t ask for your name, email or phone number. The app works with an anonymous user.
Your photo is only used to create your image. Google’s AI (Gemini) processes it and we delete it after 24 hours. Created images are deleted after 7 days.
No people, no biometrics: NocheCam is for photos of rooms and pets. We don’t do facial recognition or store biometric data.
No ads, no tracking. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
You’re in control: delete your data anytime in Settings → Delete my data.
1. Who we are
NocheCam (the iPhone and Android app and this website) is provided by Dailier Morata (“we”, “us”). For any privacy matter, email us at support@nochecam.app.
NocheCam is intended for users in the United States. This policy describes what the app actually does with data, as it is built today.
2. What data we use and why
The photo you choose
What
The photo of a room in your home (or of your pet) that you take or pick in the app. Before sending it, the app downsizes it (1536 pixels on the longest side at most) and converts it to JPEG; this does not copy the original photo’s metadata, such as its location.
Why
Only to create the image you ask for. It is kept in private storage: neither you nor anyone else can open it from the app; only our server reads it to send it to the AI provider.
How long
Deleted automatically after 24 hours (cleanup runs every hour), or immediately if you use “Delete my data”.
The created image
What
The “footage” with the visitor that the AI generates. Free photos carry a visible watermark.
Why
So you can view it, save it to your photos or share it. Only your user can download it.
How long
On our servers, 7 days (or until you delete your data). If you save or share it, that copy stays on your phone or wherever you send it, under your control.
The record of each photo
What
For each photo you request: the visitor, the language, your customization (camera label, date, time, camera style and whether your pet appears), the status, how it was paid for (free, photo pack or weekly plan) and technical data (AI provider and model, cost, duration and error type if it fails).
Why
To show you the result, return the photo to your balance if it fails, manage your balance and prevent abuse, handle complaints, and learn which options are used so we can improve the app.
How long
As long as your anonymous user exists. Deleted when you use “Delete my data”.
You type the camera label yourself: please don’t include full names or other personal information.
Your anonymous user and balance
What
The first time you open the app, it creates an anonymous user with a random identifier, with no email or password. The session is stored on your phone. The service that manages these sessions (Supabase) records each session’s IP address and device or browser type (user agent). With your user we keep your balance: pack credits, whether you have a weekly plan and until when, and the photos used that week.
Why
So only you can see your images, and to keep track of your photos.
How long
Until you use “Delete my data”.
A technical device identifier
What
On iPhone, a random code the app creates and stores in the device Keychain (it is not synced to iCloud and may remain even if you uninstall the app). On Android, the identifier the system assigns to the app (ANDROID_ID). The app sends it to our server, which only stores its SHA-256 fingerprint, which cannot be reversed, along with the platform, how many free photos have been used and the date it was first seen.
Why
So the 3 free photos are per device and can’t be obtained endlessly by reinstalling the app. It is not used to track you or for advertising.
How long
As long as NocheCam is in service. It is not deleted by “Delete my data”, precisely to prevent that abuse. It contains no name, email, IP address or photos.
Your IP address, turned into a fingerprint
What
We don’t store your IP address in our tables (except in the anonymous user’s session, see above). For the limits we store a SHA-256 fingerprint of the IP combined with a secret key (for IPv6, of the /64 network prefix). Our providers’ technical logs (for example, Supabase’s request and sign-up logs) do include the IP address and are deleted automatically within a few days.
Why
For anti-abuse limits: for example, how many photos are requested per hour from the same connection, or how many new devices a connection starts using per day.
How long
In the record of each photo, as long as your user exists. In rejected attempts (no balance, invalid photo), 24 hours.
Image reports
What
If you report an image in the app: the reason (inappropriate content, a real person appears, or other), the date and which image it refers to.
Why
To review the content (within 48 hours) and improve our filters.
How long
If you delete your data, the report is no longer linked to you or to the image: only the reason and date remain.
Purchases
What
Payments are charged by Apple or Google: we never see your card or your store account. When it opens, the app connects to RevenueCat, our purchase management provider, to show you your store’s prices and know what you have bought; it uses an anonymous identifier for this (your anonymous user’s, once it exists). RevenueCat receives each purchase’s details (product, dates, subscription status and transaction identifier) together with your anonymous identifier, plus technical data its service needs (such as the app version or the store country). It then notifies our server, which keeps a purchase record: product, store transaction identifier, dates and whether it was refunded.
Why
To add your photos or activate your weekly plan, handle refunds, restore purchases and meet accounting obligations.
How long
Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and refunds; if you delete your data, they are no longer linked to your user. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep them under their own policies.
If you contact us
What
Your email address and whatever you tell us.
Why
Only to reply and resolve your request.
How long
As long as needed to help you and, at most, 12 months after your request is closed.
On your phone, the app stores the session, the device identifier and, temporarily, the images it downloads to show you. The permissions it asks for are the camera (only when you tap “Take photo”) and, on iPhone and older Android versions, permission to add photos to your library (only when you tap “Save to Photos”). Photos are picked with the system picker: the app doesn’t read the rest of your library.
3. What we don’t do
We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number or date of birth.
We don’t use your location, your contacts or the microphone.
There are no ads, no third-party analytics or advertising tools, and no tracking across apps or websites.
We don’t sell your data or “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We don’t use your photos or images to train AI models or for marketing.
4. No people and no biometric data
NocheCam is designed for photos of rooms and pets, with no people. Before sending a photo you must check “I confirm there are no people in the photo”; the app won’t continue without it.
We don’t do facial recognition, we don’t measure the geometry of any face, and we don’t create face templates or any other biometric identifier or biometric information (as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), Washington’s RCW 19.375 and similar laws). We don’t use photos to identify anyone.
If a photo includes a person by mistake, it is handled like any other image, only to generate your result, and deleted after 24 hours. Please don’t upload photos with people. If a person appears in a result, report it in the app with “A real person appears”.
5. AI and other service providers
We use these providers, which process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us and with data protection equivalent to that described in this policy:
Supabase, Inc. (US): database, photo storage, anonymous users and server functions. Servers are in the us-east-1 region (Northern Virginia, US).
Google LLC, Gemini API (paid service): receives your photo and the instructions for the visitor you chose, and returns the image. Under Google’s terms for paid services, Google doesn’t use this data to improve its products and may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse and comply with the law. Its images also carry an invisible watermark (SynthID) identifying them as AI-generated.
fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc., US), only as a backup: if we have it enabled and Google fails, your photo is sent to fal.ai to create the image. We use its direct mode, in which the result is not kept in its history.
Apple and Google Play: charge purchases and manage subscriptions and refunds.
RevenueCat, Inc. (US): purchase and subscription management.
Beyond this, we would only disclose data if required by law or a public authority, to protect someone’s safety or our rights, or if NocheCam changed ownership (under this same policy or after notifying you).
6. AI-generated content
NocheCam images are fiction created by artificial intelligence, not real footage from any camera. They may contain errors or odd details. Free photos carry the visible mark “Made with AI · NocheCam”. Don’t use them to deceive anyone in a way that could harm them: details are in the Terms of Use.
7. How long we keep each item
Your photo24 hours
The created image (on our server)7 days
Rejected attempts (with IP fingerprint)24 hours
Anonymous user, session, balance and photo recordsUntil you delete them
Reports, no longer linked to youWhile NocheCam exists
Purchase records (unlinked from you if you delete your data)Accounting and refunds
Providers’ technical logs (with IP address)A few days
Support emails12 months at most
“Delete my data” immediately removes your photos and images from our server, even if they haven’t expired yet.
8. Your choices and rights
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Delete my data. It immediately deletes your photos, your images, your anonymous user, your balance and your photo records. Full details, and how to request it without the app, are on Delete your data.
Rights under state law
Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas or Oregon), you may have the right to know what data we process, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We don’t sell data, do targeted advertising or profiling with significant effects. We honor these requests even where the law doesn’t require us to, and we will never treat you worse for exercising them.
Email us at support@nochecam.app. Since we don’t have your name or email, to find your data we’ll ask for information that lets us verify it is yours (for example, your Apple or Google order number if you bought something, or the approximate date and time of your photos and your phone model); if we can’t verify it, we’ll tell you. We’ll respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your written permission. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our email with the subject “Appeal”; if you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.
We don’t collect “sensitive personal information” as defined by California law (no biometrics, no precise geolocation). Since there is no tracking, “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals don’t change anything: nothing is shared for advertising in the first place.
9. Children
NocheCam is for adults (usually parents and family members preparing a surprise). It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security and data location
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Photos and images are kept in private storage; database access rules ensure each user can only read their own data, and administrative keys exist only on the server. No system is infallible: if a breach affected you, we would notify you as required by law.
Data is processed and stored in the United States. If you use NocheCam from another country, your data is transferred to the US.
11. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts, and serves its own fonts. The provider hosting it may technically log your IP address when you visit, for security.
12. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top; if the change is significant, we’ll also let you know in the app. Questions: support@nochecam.app.
